All about Aldgate

Aldgate Veterinary Practice was formed in October 1996 when two neighbouring practices, Albany Veterinary Group and Westgate Veterinary Practice decided to pool their expertise and enhance the facilities and services available to the animals of Driffield, Bridlington and the surrounding areas.

Both of the practices were true 'mixed' veterinary practices - practices that skilfully care for farm animals, horses and companion animals to an exemplary standard. This style of practice has been taken forward and developed in the form of Aldgate Veterinary Practice.

Many of the staff are from the original practices, including the original partners, which gives a unique family feeling to the practice. Most of the members of staff have much loved pets of their own and will all take time to listen to you, taking in to account your requirements in a sensitive and caring way.

As well as providing high quality diagnostic and treatment services we firmly believe in prevention rather than cure and so, in order to ensure your pet remains healthy throughout its life, we have introduced a range of promotions.

24-hour emergency cover

The vets and staff work a complex rota to provide 24 hour emergency telephone and veterinary cover locally for our clients, 365 days of the year. Please respect this service and use it sensibly; it is there for emergency cases only.

In the case of an emergency please telephone your local branch using the regular numbers (01262) 677 269 in Bridlington and (01377) 252 087 in Driffield when you will be given the contact number for the duty telephonist.

Please note that if you and your pet need to be seen, they will be seen at the Driffield surgery.

House visits

We are able to make house visits where requested between 10.00 and 12.00 each weekday morning and 2.30 to 3.30 each weekday afternoon. We require as much notice as possible to achieve this and cannot offer this service out of hours or at weekends for staffing reasons.
